B. Sides. Detroit. We're back!
Welcome to BSides Detroit. It's been a minute. Stuff happens, you get it. We all get through the stuff together. Turns out that's what this conference is about. We've all survived some crazy times since we last met. A crazy election (with another on the horizon), a pandemic and its aftermath, and a whole lot of turbulence in our industry. It’s easy to lose sight of what’s important.
This year, it’s not about industry, it’s about people. Infosec yes, but there is no infosec without humans. Come be a human at BSides Detroit and be reminded of why you started this journey in the first place.
Something drove us all into tech and security, some kind of curiosity we couldn't ignore. This year, we're focusing on how that manifests into something that actually helps our fellow person. What it actually does right here in our own community, not just the big companies in the concrete jungle. After all, if our skills aren't making peoples' lives better and safer, what are we doing?
Join us for an amazing series of presentations that center around freedom through hacking, along with boots-on-the-ground stories of how our tech skills actually make a difference in the communities we live in. You won't see a bunch of corporate mumbo jumbo. Just real people, talking about real life, and making it better through real action.
We look forward to seeing you this year. Stay tuned for updates!
